The Ideal Window Film?
On one hand, we want to let all the light in, or as much light as possible, through the window. We want a lot of natural daylight. We do not want a film that is going to darken the room.
On the other hand, we also want to maximize heat and UV rejection while allowing most of the light through. Spectrally Selective Window Films are designed just for that purpose.
So lets take for example if you want to protect your home or business from fading carpets, flooring, artwork, upholstery or merchandise. The majority of that damage is going to come from UV light and also heat. Spectrally Selective Window Film blocks out 99% of the UV and 97% in most cases of the infrared heat. It does not mean it is blocking out 97% of all heat because some heat does travel in the visible light spectrum. We know we are getting a little bit technical, but we do not want to overstate what the films can do. Still, both the heat you feel on your skin (IR heat) and Ultraviolet light are blocked.
